The Downtowner

December 3, 2009

Old Overholt rye whiskey
St. Germain elderflower liqueur
apple cider
lime juice
pear
Downtown Brown ale

Muddle a chunk of pear. Combine ingredients, shake, then fine-strain into an ice-filled bucket. Top with brown ale, and garnish with a star anise pod.

Yes, we know: There are a thousand ingredients in this beverage. But it works so well!

Hey Tyler
Thanks again for your interest & support! Here's the recipe for the Downtowner:

small chunk of pear (muddled)
1.75 oz. Old Overholt
0.5 oz. St. Germain
0.5 oz. apple cider
0.25 oz. lime juice

Top with about 2 oz. brown ale.

Cheers!
