Old Pal

January 28, 2010

Old Overholt rye
Campari
Noily Pratt dry vermouth
mole rojo bitters

Stir ingredients and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange ribbon.

This is a classic... sort of. The original had grenadine and sweet vermouth and no bitters, so essentially it's a totally different cocktail. Good name though.

The Countess

August 31, 2009

Hendrick's gin
Campari
lemon juice
watermelon
terragon

Muddle melon ant terragon, shake ingredients, fine-strain and serve up. Garnish with an orange ribbon.

A little like a Negroni, but a little more feminine. The Negroni was supposedly created by General Pascal Olivier Count de Negroni, so we thought a feminine twist on the name was appropriate.

Sam's Negroni

August 5, 2009

Boodle's gin
Campari
Cinzano sweet vermouth

Stir. Serve up. Garnish with an orange ribbon.

Sam "Sammie Donuts" Imel loves a good Negroni, so in honor of his final night as a server at Range, we let him pick the cocktail of the day. The classic Negroni has equal parts gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth, but Sam likes it gin heavy, so that's how we made it. We're gonna miss you, Sam!
