Muddle a medium strawberry. Combine all but the sparkling wine, shake and fine-strain into a champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon twist.

This cocktail has a classic aperitif profile: Clean and crisp, but with enough intriguing herbal-fruit notes to really wake up your appetite. The name comes from the Palomino Fino grape from which sherry is made.

Arette reposado tequila
Blandy's madiera
small strawberry

Reagan's orange bitters

Muddle the strawberry and cilantro, combine and shake ingredients. Fine-strain into a bucket, and garnish with a sprig of cilantro.

I was just curious about how people would react to cilantro in a cocktail, so I made this drink that was pretty tame, aside from said herb. Results? Not so popular... turns out that I should have taken that article about cilantro in the New York Times a little more seriously!

lemon juice
saffron-cardamom bitters

Muddle strawberry, shake and fine-strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon half-moon.

Tonight's cocktail was inspired by our good friend, amazing co-worker, stellar host, and all around rockin' gal Serena. We all agree that she has been the heart and soul of Range from the beginning, and we are as proud to have worked with her as we are sad to see her go. She is on to a new chapter of her life, yet we know that we will all be affected by her in some way. She is one of those people that remind you to take a step back and smile... not in a cheesy, new-age way, but in a real, old-soul way... until next time... heyyyy sister..................

Boozy goodness! "Sunny" Jim Rolph was the longest serving mayor of San Francisco and he loved his booze. He served 19 years as mayor of San Francisco all throughout Prohibition, and his last two-and-a-half years as governor of California. During his tenure he remained lax on Prohibition restrictions, and in doing so established SF as the cocktail capital of the United States. We love Sunny Jim!
